Cholesterol derivatives

Ar ligand Fas (FasL) play in T cell-mediated apoptosis Tose and T cell development. Forms homotrimers. Due to the transmembrane domain remains on the surface of the cells producing it.

  As a result of proteolytic cleavage (between residues 129-130) produced a soluble form of the ligand. FasL deficiency leads to autoimmune syndrome lymphoma foproliferatsii. FasL efficiency can be adjusted to its binding with false Pu DcR3 (decoy receptor - Pu-trap).

Derivatives of cholesterol are steroid hormones and bile acids.

Steroid Hormones
